Below is some information regarding the first day of class. If you have danced with us before you have this information, but if not, there are just a few quick things to know before you come to class.
What to Wear? There is no set dress code for most short-term classes but there are suggestions on our Dress Code page if you have any questions about appropriate apparel. Your students should wear dance clothes OR clothes that they can easily move in, as well as ballet shoes OR socks/tights. Tap shoes are encouraged, but not required for Musical Theatre/Broadway & Ballet classes. Adults, please wear comfortable clothes you can move in.
Our Full Year (Sept-May) students should follow the Dress Code for all classes.
What to Bring? In addition to your dancing shoes/clothes, a water bottle is great! Also, if you haven't danced with us yet this season, please fill out and bring the completed Registration Form (see below). We do have copies of this form in the studio.
Tuition? Tuition is due on the first day of class. If you have not danced with yet this season, there is a $20 registration fee per new student, or $10 for returning students. The summer-only student registration fee is $10. Cash or checks (made out to Northeast Dance Center) are accepted at the studio or payments can be made through PayPal for an additional fee. You will also receive a statement via email, and can always access your tuition information online here.
Performance? On the last day of short-term classes we will invite family members in to watch a short performance. Make sure you have your phones/cameras ready! Full-year classes have formal and informal performance throughout the year.
Family Members? Our waiting area (Suite 103) is equipped with space as well as books and toys for family members who are waiting. You may also take a chair from the waiting area and watch from the hallway. Family members are encouraged to stay off of the dance space/floor while classes are being held so we have room for dancing.
Want Even More Info? We have tons of information in our Parent Handbook. We will update this handbook every September for the new dance season.
