Not ready for a full year of dance classes? A few times each year we offer short-term classes for students to just get a taste dance for 4-6 weeks. A one-time per new-student annual registration fee of $25 ($50 maximum/family) is also due for students who have not danced with us yet during the current year (registration fee covers all sessions from September-August).

Spring 2024 Short-Term Class

Family Dance!

Family Dance is Back at NEDC. This class is open to all students who have danced with us in the 2023-24 dance season. Dancers, grab a family member (mom, dad, grandparent, etc...) and join Ms. Christine to learn some choreography to be performed during our Year-End Performances. $45/family.
Saturdays, 12:45-1:30 pm on the following dates:
April 20th (only level 2-5 dancers + family member)
April 27th: (only ages 3-level 1 dancers + family member)
May 4th: all dancers & family members
May 18th: all dancers & family members

Dress rehearsal at Mounds View High School Friday, May 31st 
2 Performances at Mounds View High School Saturday, June 1st 1 pm & 4:30 pm

Irish Dance!

Join Ms. Sarah for 6 weeks of soft-shoe Irish dancing! This 6-week class offers an introduction to Irish dance, which, like other forms of dance, helps students with balance, posture, coordination, flexibility, motor skill development, and strength. Dancers will also be introduced to the history, tradition and music of Irish dancing.

Saturdays, 11:15 am-12:15 pm, April 6-May 11, 2024
$115 for the 6 week session

Short-Term Class Dress Code

There's no specific dress code for the short term classes, at minimum students should wear clothing that is easily moved in. If you would like to purchase dance wear (leotard, tights, and shoes) please refer to the information on our Dress Code page.

 

Winter 2024 Short-Term Class

Ages 4-6 Ballet

Come dance off those winter blues in our Winter Ballet class for ages 4-6! This beginning ballet class introduces students to the structure of ballet in addition to beginning ballet technique, musicality, and performance concepts. This 45-min class meets 1 time/week and dancers will quickly grow their ballet vocabulary as well as learn a little choreography to share at the end of class. A minimum of 5 dancers is required for this class to run. 

Saturdays, 10:30-11:15 am, February 3-March 9
$90 for the 6 week session
