Our Preliminary Full-Year Fall 2024 Schedule & Class Descriptions will be available by May 30, 2024. Schedule is subject to change due to enrollment and staffing. Homeschoolers, we would love to add some daytime classes, send us your availability by August 1st!

Take any* of our 2024-25 Season classes on a 6-week trial basis. If your dancer loves the class, he or she is welcome to join us for the rest of the season and our December & Year-End Performances.


Fall Short-Term Class Pricing
30 min classes: $62 for 6 weeks

45 min classes: $90 for 6 weeks

60 min classes: $115 for 6 weeks

75 min classes: $121 for 6 weeks
90 min classes: $135 for 6 weeks

2024-25 Beginning Dance Classes
 

Mini Pre-Ballet (Creative Movement) For dancers ages 3-5, introduction to basic ballet, movement and music concepts. Students will learn basic dance concepts such as patterns, shapes, sequence, rhythm, and musicality. Basic ballet and jazz steps (and terminology) will also be introduced to help students grow in balance, coordination, and motor skill development. Class meets for 30 min/week. Dancers will perform one dance in the year-end performance. Tuition: $37/month or $323/year (3% discount)

Pre-Ballet Beginning ballet for ages 5-6 or students with previous dance experience, this 45 minute, short-term class serves as a transition from creative movement to the structure of a ballet class. Students will gain confidence in ballet terminology and musicality. Students will perform one ballet dance in our year-end performance. Tuition: $54/month or $470/year (3% discount)

Broadway and Ballet Beginning-level ballet and tap for ages 5-7.

Dancers will learn the basic structure of a ballet class including barre and centre work in a creative and age-appropriate environment as well as the basics of musical-theatre style tap. This 45-minute class meets 1 time/week and students will perform at least one dance in the Year-End Performance. Tuition:  $54/month or $470/year (3% discount)

Strengthening, Stretching, & Conditioning

Strengthening and stretching to improve your dance technique. Learn some conditioning exercises to balance longer and jump higher.

Leveled Classes (approx. ages 7-18)

 

Level 1 Ballet Beginning ballet class, typically for students approx. age 7 & up, which introduces students to the structure of ballet in addition to beginning ballet technique, musicality, and performance concepts. Level 1 Jazz & Tap Beginning-level jazz and tap dance for ages 7-10. Dancers will learn basic jazz skill and terminology as well as the foundational tap technique in an age-appropriate environment. Black jazz and black (full-sole) tap shoes required. This 45-minute class meets 1 time/week and students will perform at least one dance in the Year-End Performance. Tuition:  $54/month or $470/year (3% discount)

Level 2 Tap (Musical Theatre Emphasis)
Intermediate tap technique, terminology and skills (typically ages 9 and up). For students who wish to learn advanced beginning & intermediate tap technique, this .75-hour class meets 1 time/week.  Dancers will learn continue in their tap skill and terminology along with music and performance concepts. Tap shoes required. Dancers will perform one dance in the year-end performance. Tuition: $54/month or $470/year

Level 2 Ballet Advanced Beginning - Intermediate ballet class which builds on the basic ballet skill and terminology. Students should have at least 1 year of ballet experience to join this class. This 1-hour class meets 1 time/week and dancers will perform a ballet dance in our Year-End Performance. Dancers may take 1 or 2 ballet classes/week for 1 or 2 hours/week (additional tuition applies for added technique class). 1 day/week Tuition: $68/month or $593/year (3% discount)

Level 3 Ballet 

At the Intermediate level, the ballet class increases in complexity so students can gain greater knowledge and skill. Approximately 15 minutes of this class time will be dedicated to learning choreography during the second half of the year. In order to begin Pre-Pointe, students must be invited by the instructor and must take at least 2 ballet classes per week. Students are required to attend a 1.5-hour ballet/repertoire class plus at least one other ballet technique class each week for a total of 2.5 hours of ballet/week. Students will build on an intermediate level knowledge of ballet technique. Students must commit to dancing at least 2 days/week to begin en-pointe. Dancers will perform at least one ballet dance in the Year-End Performance. Students will learn lyrical choreography on Saturday mornings.

Level 4 Ballet

Students are required to attend a 1.5-hour ballet class and a 2-hour ballet/lyrical/repertoire class each week for a total of 3.5 hours/week. Students will build on an intermediate level knowledge of ballet technique. Students may also take an additonal Level 3A Ballet class on Saturdays for additional technique time. Students must continue dancing 2 days/week to continue pointe.

Level 4.5 Ballet 

At the Advanced Intermediate level, the ballet class increases in complexity so students can gain greater knowledge and skill. Students are required to attend a 1.5-hour ballet class and a 2-hour ballet/repertoire class each week for a min total of 3.5 hours/week. Students will build on an intermediate level knowledge of ballet technique. Students may also take an additonal Level 3A Ballet class on Saturdays for additional technique time. Students must continue dancing 2 days/week to continue pointe.

Level 5 Ballet 

Advanced ballet, pointe, modern, & contemporary. Students are required to attend two1.5-hour ballet classes and a 2-hour ballet/moder/repertoire class each week for a total of 4.5 hours/week.

Pre-Pointe/Beginning Pointe
By invitation only, this class will feature strengthening and conditioning exercise to prepare students to go en pointe. Students must be enrolled in ballet for a minimum of 2 days/week before enrolling in this class.

Level 1/2 Pointe Repertoire
By invitation only, this class will feature a pointe warm-up and learning pointe variations and choreography for performance.

Level 3 Tap
Intermediate tap technique and vocabulary. This class meets for 1 hour, 1 time/week. Students should have at least 3 years of tap experience. Students will be invited to perform in additional formal and informal performances through out the year (however, participation is not mandatory). Dancers will perform one tap dance in the year-end performance.

Teen/Adult Beginning-Advanced Beginning Ballet 
Beginning-advanced beginning ballet technique for teen & adult dancers. This beginning ballet class introduces students to the structure of ballet in addition to beginning ballet technique, musicality, and performance concepts. This 1-hour class meets 1 time/week and dancers will quickly grow their ballet vocabulary as well as gain an introduction to ballet history and terminology. $15/class

Teen/Adult Advanced Ballet

Advanced-level ballet class for dancers with a minimum of 4 years of classical ballet training. Dancers should have an understanding of a full ballet class (barre-center) and be proficient in ballet technique, musicality, adagio, turns, petite & grand allegro. Pointe work is optional. $18/class (drop-in cards accepted)

Adult Tap 1 Beginning tap class focusing on learning beginning tap steps, rhythm & choreography for ages 16 & up. A great fit for anyone looking to learn a new hobby or to get a fun cardio workout. $15/class (punch cards accepted). Participation in the year-end performance is optional.

Adult Tap 2 (Musical Theatre Emphasis, Intermediate+ ) Broadway-style tap class focusing on learning a specific tap routine from a Broadway show for ages 16 & up. A great fit for anyone looking to brush up (pun intended) their tap skills for auditions or to get a fun cardio workout. $15/class (punch cards accepted). Participation in the year-end performance is optional.

Barrelattes (Dance Fitness)

We've combined the best of barre's ballet-based exercises and Pilates. At NEDC, we are driven by the music. Did you know music can increase your endurance and improve the way you move? Your legs, glutes, and abs will love this fun and effective class, and you will LOVE the playlists. $12/class (punch cards accepted).
